The Tooth Monster

You know, there are only two things that scare me in this world. Monsters and dentists. Ok maybe spiders too but that’s besides the point. Fortunately for you and I, bricks.life.idea is here to remind us that the two can exist in harmony with this terrifying yet awesome creature. That smile. Those teeth. Now that’s a face only a mother, or a dentist, could love.

He's Alive...Alive!

...And pretty stinkin' adorable. It's Frankenstein's monster, by builder DOGOD Brick Design. Yes, I said Frankenstein's monster, it's not Frankenstein, that's the doctor that built him. Fun fact: he actually doesn't have a name. He refers to himself (yeah, he actually spoke) as "thy Adam", in a nod to the bible (first man, get it?) but this has never really been explored in the films. Then again he's also never referred to as "Monster" in the book, so we're all wrong.

Good Morning Coffee Monster

I drink tea mostly, but on occasion I enjoy a grande mocha Frappicino in a venti cup with a banana blended in and no whip (yeah, it's awesome). Regardless I understand the need for that morning caffeine bump, but I had no idea my loyalties belonged to this character, the good morning coffee monster by lummerlander. Yes, it's a seriously crazy character, but if you really want to see crazy, deny people their coffee.

Gale Serpent

The use of the fabric wing parts gives this Serpent MOC by Pate Keetongu an almost illustrated appearance and sense of motion. Combine that with the clever part use and design and you have a beast of mythical proportions. The brief history or lore in the description on Flickr also lends an air of legend to it, which makes me love it even more.

The Beholder

This made my heart go pitter patter. Not just because I'm a fan of all things geek, but because it's from a dear friend who hasn't been building much lately (but has certainly been making lots of cool stuff!), and It always makes me happy to see the work of friends. Behold the Beholder, from Guy Himber. Making great use of those Mixel eyes and being all monstery, I dig it.

Blinky

What do you get when you mashup LEGO Star Wars with monsters? Well, you might just end up with nightmares. Meet Blinky by builder Dodge. He's the result of 'monsterfying' the TIE Interceptor for the Monstermash contest currently being held by SLUG, the Saskatchewan LEGO User Group. Mashup or not, this is a fantastic MOC on it's own.

The Adventures Of Nigel

Builder MinifigNick has recently been posting a series of charming little MOCs featuring Nigel, a slug-like monster on some adventures. I don't know the genesis of this character and I don't care, I just look forward to seeing what further antics he gets up to. He's already married (that was quick) so I guess it's on to domestic life (and of course, a minivan).

It's Only Ugly On The Outside

Matt Armstrong (monsterbrick) was one of the first AFOLs I met as I was discovering I wasn't alone in my adult obsession with plastic bricks. He opened my eyes (see what I did there?) to wondrous possibilities with our favorite toy and continues to delight us all with fanciful and offbeat MOCs like this one.

Enchanted Flora And Morning Monsters

First blood has been drawn in the latest Iron Builder. This round pits Siercon and Coral vs the Brothers Falworth, and it should be a good one. The seed part is a flexible green spike.

Siercon and Coral were first with this rose from Beauty and the Beast. No, LEGO doesn't make glass domes, get over it.

Not to be outdone, Mark of Falworth gives us this nightmare. Personally I think the teddy bear isn't afraid, teddy bears are our secret protectors.

Somebody Call An Exterminator!

There was a giant spider outside my front door last night, so I know exactly how these guys feel. OK, that's a bit of a stretch, but check out this MOC. A giant tentacled beast terrorizing a factory as two cool vehicles rain hell fire upon it. Just another day at the Snuggies plant.  I have to assume the blue reflections to one side are sunlight creeping in to the picture, but it's a happy accident, because it adds some great effects.
