Iron Man Helmet

This is what perseverance looks like. Builder Brickatecture moc industries toiled over this build for over 2 years, but the results were worth it. Not only does this MkV helmet look amazing, but it’s actually wearable. I wouldn’t recommend going into battle in it, but it sure would look awesome on display, I want one!

Iron Man

I wouldn’t classify myself as a diehard Marvel fan, there’s been quite a few of the movies I’ve skipped. It’s not that I had anything against them, I just wasn’t interested. I may be suffering a from a bit of super hero fatigue, but I’m also perfectly fine with it. Some of the characters just don’t grab me, but one that does, and one of the movies that absolutely nailed it, was the first Iron Man. While I wasn’t a big comic reader as a kid, I was a Spiderman and Iron Man fan, and I’ll admit I was really skeptical when they announced it. But I loved it, still do, so this excellent sculpture of Iron Man by Aaron Brick Designer instantly had my attention.

Iron Falcon

You can almost hear AC/DC playing the Star Wars theme when you see this latest creation by Zane Houston.  Apparently there's a Millennium Falcon contest on TBB, and it's generating all sorts of cool stuff.  But what I like about this in particular, besides the clever mash up, is how well it reflects the styles of both genres.  As if Tony were Corellian or something.  Would that make Pepper a Princess? 

And You Had Trouble Picking Out A Tie This Morning

Tony Stark certainly has no shortage of suits, both three piece and Iron Man suits. One he uses for guest appearances at charity auctions and being a playboy on the town, the other he uses when he needs to look business-like. I don't know if this MOC by John Toulouse has every single Iron Man minifigure that has ever been made, but it certainly looks like it (even the micro-fig!). It also has some fun surprises on the back side, very cool.

High-Fives All Around For Team Stark!

If there's one thing I get a kick out of seeing every time, it's gotta be 1:1 scale movie props recreated in LEGO bricks.  This skin-tight Iron Man gauntlet by Milan Sekiz features plenty of detail crammed in a very limited space that also accommodates flexibility.  Having said that, I now have two serious questions: May I please wear it for Halloween and does it run on a miniature arc reactor or simple CR1025 batteries?

United or Divided?

POW!  WHAM-O!  Two of your favorite Avengers have been brought to life with Tyler's creative character build technique!  The remarkable recreation of these classic characters is well represented with amazing facial and body detailing.  It's easy to tell that a main focus in these guys is enabling them to be posed.  I personally would love to see a stop motion film using these two to recreate the great sequence in Captain America: Civil War!  Whose side are you on?!

Hulkbuster Mech Suit

There's lots to be excited about with the premier of Avengers: Age of Ultron.  Who IS this Ultron guy?  Will our Heroes be victorious?  What kind of outfits will Black Widow be wearing?  And this:  The Hulkbuster Mech Suit!  Tankm has created a highly detailed, fully poseable, and kick-arse version of Tony's ultimate armor.  Check out his photostream for more nifty shots. 

Tony Stark's Lab

Iron Man fans should recognize this instantly, it's Tony Stark's lab in his Malibu mansion. This large interior MOC from kissyfur_ok is totally packed with detail everywhere you look. Going through the pictures will remind you of several scenes from the movies and you'll find excellent little easter eggs, just like a Marvel movie. Click through for more pics, it's worth it.

Iron Man

I didn't read a lot of comics as a kid, but when I did it was usually Iron Man. This sculpt by builder nobu_tary has a striking pose and hits all the right comic book notes. You can practically hear Tony Stark inside the suit saying "I am Iron Man!"

Most of the time I'm content to look at pictures of MOCs. Of course it's always a pleasure to see them in person. But occasionally I see one and I WANT IT! This Iron Man bust by ZetoVance is absolutely jaw-dropping. Thankfully he posted just enough of a breakdown I think I can cobble my own version together (as if I had time for that).

It Can't Be All Action All The Time

Following up last week's brilliant Batman vignette, MacLane is back with what I hope will be a long series of super heroes' lighter moments. From enjoying a scotch to watching some TV, it's nice to see these guys getting a little break. 

I Am Iron Man!

Iron Man has always been my favorite super hero. I didn't read many comics as a kid, but when I did, it was Spiderman or Iron Man. And of course the movies are outstanding (the first is still my favorite, but I always prefer the genesis stories). This rendition of the mark VII armor by mmccooey makes my geek heart soar.

Holy Competing Comic Hero Batman!

Ah, the good old climbing the wall gag, classic campy Batman. It's amazing what you can accomplish with simple camera tricks like turning it on it's side. And this is exactly how this cheesy effect was accomplished. Nice photography InkBlotPhoto.

Defending The City

I'm not sure of the details on this MOC, I think it's a collaborative build but there's no description. I am sure it's friggin' awesome though. It's an epic battle with multiple fights involving several super heroes. There's tons going on here so you'll have to click through and check out some of the closeups. My favorite details are the "o" from the hotel smashing the car and the street damage where Superman is having the smack down put on him (I'm sure he'll win in the end)

Avengers Assemble(d)

I've never been all that much into comics, but there were certainly specific characters I enjoyed as a kid. Iron Man and Spiderman were my favorites. But I was always a bit baffled when characters from different comics were mashed together, I just didn't get it. For instance Justice League left me wondering why the hell Aqua Man was there. It wasn't until I saw Avengers that I understood how that union could really work, and work it did. Now Joel Baker has assembled (get it?) his own team in CudeDude form.
