Star-Lord, Man. Legendary Outlaw!

Brickatecture returns, unveiling his brand new wearable Star-Lord / Peter Quill helmet after 3 months of hard work. This model is 100% LEGO, 100% wearable, and 100% awesome. The helmet itself barely seems LEGO, especially with all the fine hair detailing that went into this model. All of the time and parts that went into this creation sure seems to have paid off! Nathaniel Stoner

     My name is Nathaniel Stoner, and I am an very active LEGO builder.  I mostly build in the themes of castle and science-fiction, but I also dabble in other genres and create occasional random MOC's (My Own Creations). 

     When I was younger, I would get and build small LEGO sets for my birthday, but I was never really into them.  When they fell apart, I would become frustrated attempting to put them back together and would throw them in a box in my closet.  I couldn't stand them!

     Then, miraculously, I became addicted to the LEGO brick later in my teen years.  Ever since, I have continued to build up (pun intended) my collection of bricks and to expand my knowledge of techniques and building skills.  LEGO is truly more than a toy, its an art form and a way to express yourself.

     For the most part, I collect LEGO Star Wars (mainly the minifigs), which is probably my favorite LEGO theme.  I have a fairly decent collection, including some of the original 1999 sets, such as the Snowspeeder, X-Wing, and Naboo starfighter.  I also collected LEGO the Lord of the Rings when those sets first came out.  The minifigs are great, and the story remains one of my favorites ever. 

     My hope is to inspire other young (and perhaps even older) LEGO builders to unleash their inner creativity!  You can find me on my Flikr here. 

Stormbreaker

Brickatecture has returned with another astounding recreated LEGO prop! Stormbreaker is the new iconic weapon of the God of Thunder, Thor, as seen in Avengers: Infinity War. The builder did an incredible job building this model, and had this to say about it: “Fully capable of summoning the Bifröst. This swingable, battle ready LEGO axe took only 2 weeks and 1,000 LEGO bricks to make. I’d say my favorite part was creating the hammer shape on the back using wedge plates and ball joints. And thanks to Groot, the handle is super sturdy.” The shaping on the blade truly is something, and the little added detailing of the roots wrapping around the metal is an excellent touch.

Tiny Avengers

What better way to celebrate the release of the latest Marvel movie, and the biggest box office smash in history, than with a teeny tiny micro build of the main characters, the Avengers. Builder 2 Much Caffeine took a literal handful of parts and assembled the greatest super-hero team ever to grace the pages of comics or the big screen (unless you're a Super Friends or Justice League fan, in which case I invite you to debate below).

Tony Stark certainly has no shortage of suits, both three piece and Iron Man suits. One he uses for guest appearances at charity auctions and being a playboy on the town, the other he uses when he needs to look business-like. I don't know if this MOC by John Toulouse has every single Iron Man minifigure that has ever been made, but it certainly looks like it (even the micro-fig!). It also has some fun surprises on the back side, very cool.

Double Decker Avengers

This colossal MOC by OliveSeon is an impressive blend of actual LEGO sets and mad building skills. If you look closely you'll see modified versions of the Grand Emporium, Palace Theater, Pet Store and more. Plus of course the Helicarrier and a number of other vehicles. The Avengers Tower looks like it's build from no less than 10-12 official tower sets, this MOC was a serious investment.

I've never been all that much into comics, but there were certainly specific characters I enjoyed as a kid. Iron Man and Spiderman were my favorites. But I was always a bit baffled when characters from different comics were mashed together, I just didn't get it. For instance Justice League left me wondering why the hell Aqua Man was there. It wasn't until I saw Avengers that I understood how that union could really work, and work it did. Now Joel Baker has assembled (get it?) his own team in CudeDude form.
