BrickNerd started in 2013 as a place to share the creativity of fellow LEGO builders, to tell the stories behind the bricks, and to share news from the hobby and community. The new BrickNerd is following exactly in those footsteps with the added goal to increase the connections within the LEGO community. BrickNerd has brought together an amazing group of international contributors and we are excited to continue highlighting the fan community—but we need your help.
Today, we are launching the BrickNerd Patreon—and some pretty cool swag!
Become a BrickNerd Patron
The past month has been exciting! We’ve gotten a glimpse of where BrickNerd is heading, and we are excited to take that journey with you. We want BrickNerd to continue being a place to come together as a community and celebrate the culture of building LEGO. But we can't do that alone.
Everyone who contributes to BrickNerd is a volunteer, writing in their spare time. We want to continue giving back to the community by writing high-quality articles, conducting research into LEGO topics on your behalf, sponsoring LEGO conventions, hosting building contests with cool prizes, and making some amazing swag to share--all while NOT shoving lots of advertising in your faces. We can do that with your help by becoming a patron. It will help us continue highlighting this amazing LEGO community and help us have more freedom to tackle even bigger projects we already have planned.
What We Are Doing Now
We are posting daily in-depth articles highlighting the LEGO community, MOCs and WIPs, building techniques, interviews with builders, convention news, building instructions, contests, in-depth conversations on relevant topics, insight behind the LEGO community, and more. We want to keep drawing on the expertise in the community to get nerdy and talk about building, sorting, transporting, lighting, photographing, collecting, buying, and customizing LEGO. With your help, we can continue doing all this and more.

Becoming a patron is also a great way to show your support and score exclusive BrickNerd swag! We've worked with some amazing businesses like EclipseGrafx and Chrome Block City to offer awesome swag as a thank you for your support--printed badge bricks, printed Nerdly bricks, minifigures and even a CHROME BURP element. How cool is that!? We're also welcoming you into the BrickNerd family by adding supporters to our private Discord server and hosting regular video chats with our international team called "Nerd Out Nights."
Our tiers are playfully named after LEGO elements that were granted fan-made nicknames. The higher tiers include added perks like your name listed on BrickNerd and the ability to choose a topic for us to get nerdy about! And for one week only, we even have a special badge brick for those who become patrons from the very beginning.
No matter what tier you join if you become a patron, we will be forever grateful for your vote of confidence in us and what we are trying to accomplish.
