Nerdly Debuts a New Look
/After years of squinting, we are excited to announce that Nerdly finally got corrective eye surgery! For almost a decade of looking at life through rose-tinted lenses, Nerdly has decided to ditch the black frames in favor of a new, more modern look. Say hello to the new Nerdly who can see clearly now—truly a sight for four eyes.
In hindsight, Nerdly should have been more eye-dealistic since the year 2020 would have been a better year for the change-up. But looking past that blindspot with a glasses-half-full perspective, the new Nerdly certainly has more specs appeal!
In honor of the change (I mean, look at that sleek Nerdly eye candy!), we’ve updated the BrickNerd logo accordingly across this web-sight and on Instagram and Facebook for better optics. Yes, we’ve gone full-contacts so everyone can be spec-tators and not be kept in the dark about Nerdly’s new look.
As we are pupils of all things LEGO, we’ve also created new instructions so you can build your own glasses-free Nerdly if you can maintain laser-like focus. The final build is a sight to behold! You don’t need to hire a private eye to find the instructions. The pdf download with full parts list can be found here. Or if you want the digital Studio file, here you go.
But that’s not all! To celebrate such a bright future, we are offering some new, custom-eyesed swag. Everyone who becomes a BrickNerd Patron in the next week will receive a rare, exclusive “LASIK Nerdly” brick! The offer will only last a week—it will go by in a blur so don’t take your eye off the ball. Blink and you’ll miss it! Have some foresight and vision for the future to become a patron and help support BrickNerd today!
We’re sure you saw these eye-ronic jokes coming and a few might be a bit cornea, but we thought that optical puns are so astigmatized we just had to make a spectacle of ourselves. Nerdly, you are the red apple of our eyes!
[EDIT: Nerdly missed the classic black glasses, so we’ve changed everything back! See you next April Fools!]
