Another month of competitive building is upon us! Are you ready? Here’s the latest batch of LEGO contests and challenges from all around the AFOL community for April 2022 to help you find some inspiration and motivation to build! There’s nothing quite like a theme or a prompt to take you out of your comfort zone and give you something new to try. Besides, contests are the perfect place to interact with other contestants and judges and get to know your fellow builders. And if you’re like me, a deadline helps make sure you actually finish!
We’ve listed them in order of deadline so you can plan your building time to the best advantage. Make sure to check the LEGO activity calendar for local challenges and events near you. Here at BrickNerd, some of our fondest memories, greatest building achievements, coolest trophies, and best friendships came from LEGO contests, so we really hope you try some of these out. We look forward to seeing what you build!

Prize: 25 winners across three categories will each receive 21037 LEGO House Set and have their model displayed at The LEGO House for a year (shipping paid for both ways).

Jump into weekly challenges hosted by @9brickcity like building a little magic, classic series and more.

Prize: Weekly winners and a grand prize of $1000

Build something each weekend only using the number of pieces corresponding to the date of the month! The later the date, the more pieces you have. The theme is “environment.”
Deadline: Various through April
Prize: No prizes, just the fun of building with your LEGO!
Where to enter: Instagram with #weekendbricklimit
Following the tips and tricks on the BrickCentral website, take a picture that makes your viewers laugh!
Deadline: Picture must be taken and submitted between April 11th and April 25th
Prize: 60349 LEGO City Lunar Space Station

It’s time to go out to the country! Pastoral scenes, life in the countryside, a simple, pure life, in harmony with nature is what this theme month is all about. So grab your bricks and camera and capture the beauties of country life and nature in LEGO!
Deadline: April 27th
Prize: No prizes, just the fun of building with your LEGO!

Think you have what it takes for eight weeks of challenges with a 101 maximum part count?
Deadline: Weekly deadlines until May 1st (you can enter as many or as few weeks as you like, but points are added to calculate the winner)
Prize: First place wins year long fame and choice of 21326 Winnie the Pooh, the 80108 Lunar New Year Traditions and 31129 Majestic Tiger. Second place picks of the two remaining sets, and third place receives the third. Fourth through Seventh places can look forward to 76154 Deviant Ambush!. Eighth through Tenth, 40539 Ahsoka Tano.

Design a small build that could become an official LEGO gift with purchase, but this time you have to include some kind of (simple) movement as well! And, not a car, please…

Bricky the Squirrel recently arrived in BrickLink Studio but is having trouble finding any nuts. Create something fun, cheeky, and amazing using the five seed parts to help Bricky explore the world of Studio ... and maybe even find some acorns. Use any other parts you like, provided you use one of each of the five parts listed.

Prize: No prizes, just the fun of building with your LEGO!

Build a new LEGO MOC based on modern warfare movies and films. Use of Brickmania products is encouraged but not required.
