What do you do when a totally cute Kaiju attacks? Well you deploy an equally cute Jaeger! That term seems at odd with itself, "cute Jaeger", but tell me this rendition of the Russian mech by builder chubbybots isn't adorable. What hope do the Kaiju have when they are overpowered with squee?

Chinese Triplets

How cool is this?!  A miniature version of what was arguably the weirdest-looking Jaeger from Pacific Rim!  A NPU build by the very talented Grantmasters, the Crimson Typhoon features a clever use for a minifig boxer's protective headgear on its shoulder and some red knight armor on the other shoulder.  With three arms and an all-seeing eye in the middle, the Crimson Typhoon is ready to kick some mini-scale butt or perhaps any regular-sized minifig unfortunate enough to cross its path.  I'm looking at you Series 5 Lizard Man.

Knives and Swords

Pacific Rim was full of giant monsters, giant robots, and giant sharp things to poke your eye out with.  Sounds awesome, right?  Well you know what's even more awesome?  Super giant things in micro LEGO scale!  Grantmasters shrunk everything down to perfect proportions and managed to include an amazing amount of detail in the motion, texture, and coloring in this MOC.  I mean, come on!  Just look those yellow stripes on Knifehead! 

To Fight Monsters, We Created Monsters

Over the holiday break I was finally able to correct a severe nerd oversight, mainly I finally saw Pacific Rim. And now that Moko's awesome collection is complete (I understand that due to lack of decent reference material, Coyote Tango is postponed indefinitely) I can finally blog these amazing little works of absolute badassery.

Kaiju Attack

I have a confession to make, I still haven't seen Pacific Rim (rolls 20 sided die, OOOHHH critical hit, nerd cred -12). It's not that I didn't want to, but seeing movies where I live can be difficult and/or disappointing. But I promise to see it on Blu-ray soon. In the mean time I'll gawk at this amazing MOC by OliveSeon, holy amazeballs!
