Light Cycle

With the upcoming LEGO Ideas Tron set everyone's got the classic 80's movie (and it's somewhat recent sequel) on the mind. Builder JoePerez_Lego_Artist was so inspired he built this amazing Light Cycle and rider. This shot looks like a pretty good image for the poster of the movie, ready for some 80's action.

I'm Going To Have To Put You On The Game Grid...

This is a fairly unconventional build, most of the parts aren't attached to each other, so it's more of an "arrangement". And those flexible Technic connectors are under considerable strain, therefor "illegal". But I don't care about any of that, it's awesome! So simple, yet so effective. It was a challenge to photograph, but Grantmaster's diligence paid off, it's a spectacular little vignette.

Light Cycle

I personally didn't care for the sequel to Tron, at least not the movie as a whole. I still listen to the soundtrack, it's brilliant. And the art direction was top notch, the movie is an end to end eyegasm.  One of the stand out designs was the new light cycles, like this outstanding rendition by MortalSwordsman.
