Onnar Rambrow

The great Pate-keetongu is back with another brilliant character build. This time it’s a dwarf from nothing in particular, just the imagination of Eero, but what an imagination it is. While it’s not from a direct source, the Tolkien and Weta influence is very evident, and he goes into detail about the inspiration in a post on his website, click through for the full story.

Rori Dulgisson, Thane from Karak Zorn

Dwalin Forkbeard is clearly a fan of dwarfs and Warhammer Fantasy Battles Universe.  It took him two months to create this stunning figure, his first attempt at something in this scale.  Dwalin knew that to get the details and curves he envisioned for the piece, he would need to go larger.  So at about two feet tall, Rori here is almost life-size.  And with that rune inscribed hammer, I don't think anybody's going to try and toss this Dwarf...

Dwarf House

This may be an odd tangent, but would't this make an nifty Airbnb? I've stayed at several over the years, most pretty normal, a couple unorthodox (an RV in someone's back yard?) but nothing even close to this interesting. Tell me you would't love to stay here at this wonderful and whimsical house by builder jaapxaap for just a couple nights, it would be awesome.

Dwarvish Runemaster

So, you find yourself with some runes to decipher (don't laugh, it could happen). And say for argument these runes happen to be not very far off the ground (I said stop laughing). And say they're guarded by some nasty little thing that needs to be smashed (no really, stop laughing) what do you do? Well, you seek the services of a dwarvish runemaster, depicted here by Pate-keetongu, of course.

Dwarvish Dragonguard

I've never heard of the game Battle for Wesnoth, but it was the inspiration of this excellent dwarf character by Pate-keetongu so it might be worth checking out. That dragon he's holding is called a Dragonstaff, an elaborately decorated and powerful weapon. Even if it wasn't capable of dropping an enemy, I might be tempted to carry one just because they look so cool.
