Narnia Awaits

Sometimes escaping this insane world is as easy as opening a book. There you can find wizards, vampires, goblins, mystical settings and all manner of fantasy. And sometimes in a book you can find others escaping their world, it’s sorta meta. Like the wardrobe that leads to Narnia, brilliantly recreated here as a “book nook” by Kristal Allemann.

Classroom Bookends

Books have an inherit problem of being narrow, heavy and unstable. Unless it’s something like a dictionary it has a tendency to fall over. But humans can be clever, and we’ve come up with something called bookends, as demonstrated by builder SEBASTIAN-Z here. The funny thing is, books are found in classrooms, so you could easily find these classroom bookends in a classroom holding books. It’s too bad there’s not a miniature version of these bookends in the classroom depicted in the bookends, then there would be classroom bookends holding books in the classroom bookends holding books in the classroom…I digress.

Winter Wonderland Bookends

Deborah Higdon is back with another lovely Christmas bookend collection.  You may recall last year's Twelve Days of Christmas build.  She's crafted all sorts of clever details throughout, and a special surprise within the books.  Although, personally, I might have gone with a Hoth scene instead...  Nicely done Deborah!
