Klaatu Barada Nikto

Making movies is a lot of work, and I do mean a LOT of work, and I've done a fair share of them since 1988. Most have blurred into a mishmash of memories of waiting all day to be up, last second equipment malfunctions and tyrannical directors. But a few stand out as actually fun to work on, Army of Darkness was one of them. Bruce Campbell was a joy to be around, Sam Raimi was awesome and the crew of Alterian Studios was family. So to see this book of the dead by vitreolum might conjure images of the macabre for some, to me it's just fond memories of one of the better movie making experiences of my career.

All right, you primitive screw-heads, listen up!

See this? This... is my boomstick! It's a twelve-gauge, double-barreled Remington. S-Mart's top of the line. You can find this in the sporting goods department. That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about $109.95. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt-blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right... shop smart: shop S-Mart... You got that?

Nice job, Mr. Maddison. Nice job. Cute as hell and instantly recognizable.

Here's a fun fact, I worked on Army of Darkness. No really, check it out. It was one of the wackiest, most fun to work on films of my career in make up effects. Bruce Campbell was as awesome to work with as you'd expect and I'm positive he would get a total kick out of this excellent MOC by vitreolum. That chainsaw technique is brilliant.
