Tower Bridge At Tower Bridge

A builder with an awesome outlook on life and a pretty awesome name, Tommy Williams (it's so hard not not add the "on" on the end of that) has done something I've been dying to do. The Tower Bridge is an icon of London, and the LEGO set is a fitting tribute to it. So why not build it in the shadow of the real thing? Tommy has done just that, and produced this exceptional video documenting the event. It's all part of his Year of Projects and the philosophy to never lose your inner child. As a self professed man-child, I totally support this notion.

Ghostbusters Headquarters - In Just Over A Minute

How do you make building one of the biggest LEGO sets ever produced even more epic? You  film it in multiple sessions with motion control time-lapse then composite all the shots with some cool speed effects and edit a video. This took over a week, but was super fun. The set is outstanding, with loads of detail and tons of nostalgia. One of my favorite all time movies is now one of my favorite all time sets.

And On The Seventh Day He Posted

This is a fun promotion. Autotrader UK has teamed up with Bright Bricks to let people win LEGO versions of their cars. Builder MortalSwordsman was challenged with building 6 cars in 6 days using 2,500 pieces each. Oh, and he only had 5 hours. A fun time-lapse video was done for each one as well. Check out the video and click through for more.
